About

Katt Marshall, Glass Artist.

Hi! My name is Katt Marshall, and I was practically born with the glass bug in my veins. My Mom’s studio shared my bedroom at a young age, and I have fond memories of peeking from under the covers, watching her masterfully work through the night. I focus on the copper foil method, also known as Tiffany-Style stained glass. My look is not as traditional as most would envision with stained glass, but never fear, I will align my designs with your art glass vision! I currently teach beginner stained glass through the non-profit Glass Fusion Collective on the island of O’ahu in Hawai’i.

Why is my name spelled with 2 t’s? It was a nickname bestowed upon me in High School, which spilled over into College and is now a permanent fixture that supports my love of all things cats. If it’s cold, you will most likely see me wearing my staple cat hat my friend Lucy gifted me over 10 years ago!

Katt Marshall, Designer.

My Design career started with a placement on the literary magazine at Centennial High School in Georgia. It was the only creative outlet my school counselor would entertain. This led to my first paid gig in college, laying out manuals for a bill collection agency. I gained work experience at Art Services at Towson University, and after completing an AA in Fine Arts and a BS in Interdisciplinary Crafts, I moved into post-education life. Starting at a family-owned sign and printing company, I moved to the graphics department for a local magazine. There I grew from Jr. Designer to Art Director. Recognizing that I needed a shift in my career focus, I moved into Marketing and Culinary Coordination at a 100+ year old seafood company. Leading to an opportunity at Kuhn’s Jewelers, the 4th oldest family-owned Jewelry store in America, while I apprenticed at D&D Stained Glass. During graduate school at Kutztown University, I was the graduate assistant for the music department and freelanced with a local small business, working on technical illustrations for product manuals.

Just a random note: I was my Mom’s “assistant” or possible entertainment at art and craft shows, or you’d find me napping under the table between the storage boxes.
